This is a simple stack to review the present tense of French verbs.
The stack is designed to handle all regular verbs including -er verbs in -ger and -cer, as well as verbs such as 'lever' that add a grave accent when appropriate. It does not handle -yer verbs except as irregulars. To use as is, you should be using a chicago truetype font, though, of course you may change it.
TO USE THE STACK:
Press 'EFFACER' to clear all. The insertion point will be at the center of the INFINITIVE FIELD. Type the infinitive of the verb you wish to conjugate and press <RETURN>
The insertion point will be in the middle of the CONJUGATION FIELD. Type a pronoun subject (je, j', tu, il, elle, nous, vous, ils, or elles) and a form of the verb. Put a space between the pronoun and the verb form, unless the subject is "j'" (that's the letter 'j' followed by an apostrophe)
Press <RETURN> If the verb form is correct, you'll get French congratulations and the Marseillaise, if you're wrong, the verb form is erased, you'll hear a bit of Chopin's funeral march and you'll be told "Essaie encore!" (Try again)
The program is sensitive to accents ONLY in the case of -er spelling change verbs.
The program recognizes only those irregular verbs that have been added to the (normally) invisible IRREGULARS field.
TO ADD AND IRREGULAR VERB:
Press IRREGULIERS and add the verb in the same format as those you find there; i.e. infinitive, space, the six forms of the verb separated by commas. Press IRREGULIERS again to hide field.
